Rife Fundamentals classes are perfect for people who are new to CrossFit or would like a refresher on the basics. The small group, 3-session, beginner’s course is held throughout the week and starts over every Monday. One of our experienced coaches will train you through the foundational movements of CrossFit which we regularly program into our group classes. This 60-minute class will typically start with a briefing on what will be covered, a structured warm up, skill coaching on a particular movement or two, a heart pumping workout, then a cool down and brief lecture on a particular topic of the day. Whether you are new to CrossFit or an advanced athlete, this class is for you. We expertly program to build functional strength and conditioning through workouts of the day (WODs) which we scale to every fitness ability. Our programming offers a comprehensive environment for athletes of all levels to work on progressive skills, exercise knowledge, capacity in the movements, and strength appropriate to their current level.
We believe in the CrossFit methodology which focuses on preparing our members the best we can for any physical and mental challenge that life throws at them. Our 60-minute WOD classes will typically consist of a general and a specific warm up, and then either a strength and/skill session or a heart pumping metcon. We will wrap up each class with a cool down and some stretching/mobility. But in true CrossFit style, come prepared to take on the unknown and unknowable because chances are you’ll be in for a few fun surprises that don’t follow that format.
CrossFit Rife is home to the USAW Club The Barbell Syndicate which is an East Coast Gold Affiliate Gym. The team is quickly becoming one of our most sought-after training programs in the surrounding states. The program is conducive to both beginners and elite lifters. This course is perfect for athletes interested developing the explosive power, mobility and technical skill to excel in the two Olympic lifts: the snatch and the clean & jerk. With an entire four hour block devoted to skill development and strength, athletes are able to dial in their lifts and accelerate their performance.
